Colgate University seeks to fill two tenure-track positions in the Chemistry Department at the Assistant Professor level. A PhD is required. Duties will include contributing to the foundational and advanced curriculum in one or more of these areas: biochemistry, analytical chemistry and physical chemistry. Successful candidates will be expected to direct an active undergraduate research program in biochemistry, analytical chemistry, experimental physical chemistry, or related interdisciplinary fields. Successful candidates will also be expected to participate in university-wide programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum. The Department offers strong BA programs in Chemistry and Biochemistry and has excellent facilities for research. New faculty members receive generous start-up support. Student participation in faculty research programs is strongly encouraged and supported, during both the academic year and summer; one year of research is required of all senior majors, and student stipends for summer research are available.
