Baylor seeks to fill the following tenure track faculty position within the College of Arts & Sciences:
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Baylor University invites applications for an open rank faculty position in Physical Chemistry to begin August 2018. Preference will be given to applicants at the Assistant and Associate levels; however, exceptional faculty at all ranks will be considered. Candidates will be evaluated based on (i) their potential and/or existing track record in developing an internationally-recognized, externally-funded research program, and (ii) their desire to excel as a teacher at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The ideal candidate will have experience with solving problems across traditional disciplines, especially those aligned with departmental research priorities of health, environment, and materials.
Applicants should prepare a single pdf file containing a cover letter, curriculum vitae, statement of teaching interests (2-3 pages), and brief description of research plans (5-7 pages). Candidates should arrange for 3 letters of recommendation and copies of their official transcripts to be submitted on their behalf.
