The Department of Chemistry at St. Ambrose University, Davenport, Iowa, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position to begin in August 2018. Ph.D. with specialization in organic chemistry required; ABD considered with expected completion by start date of appointment. This position requires the ability to teach organic chemistry lecture and lab for primarily chemistry and biology majors. The successful candidate will also teach a one semester course in general, organic, and biological chemistry and/or assist with lecture and labs in our regular two-semester general chemistry sequence, as well as demonstrate a willingness to teach in multiple delivery forms. Other responsibilities include mentoring undergraduate research, student advising, and service to the university community.
