Postdoctoral Position in Organic Synthesis/Medicinal Chemistry
Ahn laboratory in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Texas at Dallas is seeking ORGANIC CHEMIST / MEDICINAL CHEMIST to join a multidisciplinary research team developing small molecule inhibitors for key protein-protein interactions in cancers including prostate, breast and lung. The projects are related to our recent publications on Nature Communications (doi: 10.1038/ncomms2912) and eLife (doi: 10.7554/eLife.26857). This research is funded in part by the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The candidate should have a Ph.D., be interested in biomedical research, and have strong background in organic synthesis. The position is expected to be for one year and renewable with up to 20% salary increase in year 2 based on the satisfactory performance review.
