The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Mississippi located in Oxford, Mississippi, invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the ASSISTANT PROFESSOR level in the area of PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY to start in August 2018. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and at least 1 year of postdoctoral experience in chemistry, chemical physics or a closely related field. Of particular interest are outstanding individuals with expertise in computational chemistry and/or interdisciplinary research interests that complement active programs in the department as well as the University of Mississippi Flagship Constellation initiatives that are being developed to provide opportunities to work with faculty from across the university to address some of the most difficult and complex problems facing our nation and world. The successful candidate is expected to establish a nationally recognized, externally funded research program and demonstrate excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
