Chemistry/Biochemistry Tenure-track Faculty Position

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Detroit Mercy College of Engineering and Science invites applicants for a full-time tenure track faculty position in Chemistry or Biochemistry beginning in Fall 2018. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry or Biochemistry and be effective, enthusiastic teachers-scholars at the undergraduate level with emphasis on Biochemistry. Ability to teach organic chemistry a plus.

The small classes and close collegial relationships make teaching at Detroit Mercy exciting and rewarding. The College’s faculty form a vibrant community of teaching scholars with a strong focus on professional and academic mentorship of students. We are particularly interested in candidates who would be interested in playing a role in our efforts to provide support and opportunities for historically underrepresented students to pursue research careers in health-related areas. These efforts are currently being supported by a BUILD grant from the National Institutes of Health.
