A postdoctoral position in bioanalytical Raman spectroscopy is currently available. Several projects are under investigation, including detection of diagnostic markers, blood-based diagnostics, oligonucleotide-based capture assays, and microbiological analysis.
These projects involve close coordination with co-investigators at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. The candidate should have experience in one or more of the following areas: nanomaterials fabrication, Raman, IR, DNA surface chemistry, chemical imaging (IR/Raman), SERS, and/or multivariate statistical analysis.
