Teaching Faculty I, 12 Month Salaried (Chemical and Biomedical Engineering)
The Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at the Florida A&M University - Florida State University College of Engineering is seeking to hire a full-time, non-tenure-track, twelve-month teaching faculty member. The main responsibilities for this position are those associated with teaching chemical engineering courses. These include chemical engineering process design, laboratory, and other courses in the core curriculum. The candidate will prepare documentation for assessment of these courses as part of the program accreditation process and also mentor and advise students.
Suitable applicants must have a minimum of a Master's Degree, with at least one degree in Chemical Engineering; however, a PhD degree in chemical engineering or a related field is preferred. Industrial experience in the Chemical or Biochemical field particularly process design and a familiarity with the use of process simulator software such as Aspen is highly desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to motivate and inspire students are essential.
