Instrumentation Facility Manager
The Clemson University Department of Chemistry invites applications for an Instrumentation Facility Manager, under the title of Lecturer (non-tenure-track faculty) with an anticipated start date of August 15, 2018. Duties will include overseeing the facilities, maintaining the instruments in collaboration with an electronics specialist, training new users (mostly graduate students), writing instrumentation grant proposals, and assisting with experiment design in teaching labs.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry, or closely related field, and have experience in the use and maintenance of chemical instrumentation for techniques such as mass spectrometry, chromatography, thermal analysis, electrochemistry and spectroscopy.
