Adams State University invites applications for a one-year visiting position in Organic Chemistry at the Visiting Instructor level (position number FS8907).  We are also seeking candidates for a second position with expertise in teaching in any area of Chemistry at the Visiting Instructor level (position number FS9121

STARTING DATE August 13, 2018.

POSITION DESCRIPTION We seek energetic and enthusiastic individuals who love teaching and share our dedication to students. These positions are for the 2018-19 academic year.  Major responsibilities include teaching Organic Chemistry or other Chemistry with labs and other courses equal to 12 semester hours of chemistry per semester.  Course assignments will depend upon the background and expertise of the candidate.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in chemistry or a closely related field is required; PhD is preferred.   Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching and student-centered learning.   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.   Commitment to valuing equity, treating cultural and linguistic diversity as assets, and promoting inclusiveness.

SALARY $40,000 - $44,000 depending upon qualifications, discipline, and experience.  Adams State University offers a competitive benefits package.
