Faculty - Chemistry
The School of Science and Technology of Nazarbayev University invites applications for a Faculty position in the Department of Chemistry. Positions are available at all ranks. Exceptional candidates with research interests in the broader field of Chemistry are encouraged to apply; however, preference will be given to candidates with an expertise and active research interests in the area of Inorganic, Analytical and Physical chemistry.
Successful candidates must hold a PhD in Chemistry, Material Science or a closely related field, and demonstrate a commitment to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates must have excellent English language communication skills (English is the language of instruction), a demonstrated excellence in teaching and research and ability to develop vigorous research program.
Position responsibilities include an average teaching load of two courses per semester, curricular and program development, ongoing engagement in relevant professional and research activities, general program guidance and leadership, student advising, committee service, and other activities related to the intellectual and cultural environment of the university
