ABOUT THE JOB:
The School of Natural Sciences is seeking applicants for two faculty positions in synthetic chemistry. One position will be filled at the Assistant Professor level while the other position is open rank. Applicants must have a strong record in research and must have (for applicants for a tenured position) or have demonstrated the potential to develop (for Assistant Professor candidates) an independent, innovative, and extramurally-funded research program. Successful candidates are also expected to teach effectively at both undergraduate and graduate levels. A Ph.D. in chemistry or a closely related field is required; postdoctoral experience is highly desirable.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a doctorate in Chemistry or a closely related field by the position start date, a strong record of publication, and potential to obtain external research funding.

Applicants for the Assistant Professor level should arrange to have three letters of reference submitted online. Letters of reference should be received no later than October 1, 2018.
Applicants for the Associate/Full Professor level should include a list of three references with their applications; letters of reference are not required at this time. Once the search committee has determined the short list of candidates, the search committee chair will request letters of recommendation at that time.
