The Nuclear Science and Technology Directorate at Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking nominations and applications for mid to senior career level individuals to fill a strategic leadership position in a new initiative in the field of combinatorial and high-throughput (CHT) materials science as applied to nuclear materials.  As the nation’s lead national laboratory for nuclear energy research and development, INL is committed to accelerating the rate of development of alloys, ceramics, radiation resistant materials, coatings and sensors for nuclear applications. Of particular interest is improving the in-reactor mechanical properties of structural materials.  This opportunity represents a brand new area of CHT application. In addition to expertise in CHT, the optimal candidate will have expertise in alloys, mechanical properties, and irradiation effects in materials, as well as demonstrated experience in strategic planning and program development/management. The position requires a highly motivated individual with strong communication skills.
