Participation of groups that are underrepresented in the STEM disicplines is essential to the health and vitality of science and engineering. The Center for Sustainable Polymers ( is dedicated to broadening the participation of underrepresented groups in the sciences, and to that end welcomes applications for Postdoctoral Fellows for Underrepresented Groups in the Sciences. 

Applicants will need to indicate which CSP investigator they would like to work with in their cover letter, and therefore could be placed at the University of Minnesota, University of California, Berkeley, Cornell University, Northwestern University, University of Chicago, University of South Dakota, or Washington University in St. Louis.

Applicants must have completed their PhD by the start of the fellowship, and identify as an underrepresented minority in the sciences (e.g. female, genderqueer, transgender, Black or African American, Hispanic or Latinx, Native American or Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander, bisexual, gay, lesbian, queer, have a disability, or a veteran of the US Armed Forces, Reserves, or National Guard). Fellowship recipients will be employed as full-time postdoctoral researchers in order to pursue basic research in fulfillment of the CSP mission.
