The laboratory of Dr. Reid works at the interface of chemistry and biology in the areas of carbohydrate chemistry and glycobiology and is looking to add a post-doctoral fellow who aspires to merge excellence in both teaching and research to the Antibiotic Discovery Team. This full-time, benefits eligible appointment is available immediately and funded through April 30, 2019.
This position will be a teaching post-doctoral fellowship whereby a successful candidate will spend 50% of their time on research, with specific focus on target identification and mode-of-action studies on the antibiotic discovery project, and 50% of their time teaching undergraduate classes to biology majors and non-majors.
This position is best filled by an individual that holds a PhD in a related field, has prior teaching experience, and has interest and expertise in molecular microbiology.
