Allegheny College Department of Chemistry invites applications for a tenure-track position in Biochemistry or Bioanalytical Chemistry at the Assistant Professor level beginning August 20, 2019. Teaching and course development responsibilities include biochemistry and analytical chemistry courses in addition to contributions to first-year chemistry courses and the college-wide first-year/sophomore seminars. The successful candidate will provide evidence of excellence in teaching, ongoing scholarship and professional development, and a commitment to mentoring undergraduate students.

This position requires a Ph.D. (completed by the start date) in Biochemistry or Chemistry with an emphasis in Biochemistry. Candidates should send CVs, undergraduate and graduate transcripts, statement of teaching philosophy, and a statement of research plans. The statement of teaching philosophy should include a statement describing how you have (or may) incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion into your teaching, research, and/or service.
