Assistant Professor of Inorganic Chemistry (General Physics), Tenure Track
The Chemistry and Biochemistry Department of Nazareth College of Rochester, New York, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 2019. The department seeks candidates committed to undergraduate teaching excellence at a comprehensive institution that supports both liberal arts curricula and professional programs. Candidates will develop a strong research program involving undergraduate students that includes participation in summer research activities. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry, Biophysics, or a closely related field and demonstrated experience educating diverse populations of students.
The Nazareth College Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is located in Peckham Hall, a 74,000 square foot facility for integrated math and science that was recently ranked 20th for Best Science Lab Facilities by the Princeton Review. Peckham Hall features state-of-the-art laboratories and facilities in addition to various updated instrumentation available for both research and teaching usage.

The successful candidate is expected to teach Inorganic Chemistry and General Physics. Teaching responsibilities may also include contributions to the first year chemistry program (General Chemistry), upper-level courses including electives in their area of expertise, and courses in the college core curriculum.
