Faculty Position in Biochemistry
Union University seeks a qualified individual for a full-time tenure-track faculty in Biochemistry in the Department of Chemistry, beginning Fall 2019 for our American Chemical Society certified degree.
Primary responsibility will be to teach a 2-semester course in biochemistry, with additional responsibility for other areas in chemistry, as needed. Additional duties include conducting laboratory instruction conforming to best practices including those for safety; direct and supervise undergraduate research; and participate on university committees as assigned. We are seeking an applicant who will maintain a commitment to academic scholarship through engagement in intellectual inquiry to further the field of chemistry.

Qualifications include a Ph.D. from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in Biochemistry. Candidates who are ABD at the time of hiring will be expected to complete the terminal degree soon after arrival.
