The Department of Chemistry, at Oregon State University (OSU), located in Corvallis, Oregon, has existing strengths in organic synthesis, inorganic materials, analytical chemistry, and physical chemistry and boasts world-class instrumentation and infrastructure to support these research activities. OSU is recognized as a Doctoral/Research-Extensive university by the Carnegie Foundation, and has the rare distinction of holding all four of the Land, Sea, Sun, and Space Grant designations. We currently have open positions for two new tenure-track faculty members who can strengthen our research areas of excellence while increasing our ability to promote student success and be responsive to the needs of an increasingly diverse student body.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in chemistry or aligned field with postdoctoral or professional experience, the capability to develop and maintain a strong research program, and a commitment to undergraduate and graduate education. Preferred candidates will show a commitment to innovation and commercialization in their research and teaching plans.
