The Chemistry Department at Ursinus College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Chemistry beginning Fall 2019. We seek candidates with a Ph.D. in organic chemistry who are committed to a career at a primarily undergraduate institution that emphasizes excellence in both teaching and research. The position includes teaching introductory and advanced undergraduate courses in organic chemistry (six courses each year), establishing an active research program involving the supervision of undergraduate research students, and providing academic advising to majors and first-year students. The successful candidate will also teach in our Common Intellectual Experience, the college’s interdisciplinary freshman liberal studies seminar.
