Tenure Track Faculty Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics
The Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the tenure track. Responsibilities include establishing a vigorous and independently funded research program while contributing to graduate and medical school education of the University. We are broadly targeting candidates developing or using chemical and/or physical approaches to address biomedical problems, including those working in the area of chemical biology.
An outstanding start-up package will be provided for the successful candidate. Applicants must have an M.D and/or Ph.D or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research and education.
The Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics is a collaborative and diverse environment of over 25 primary faculty, including members of the National Academy, Royal Society, and Howard Hughes Medical Institute, who bring together a wide range of expertise with a common goal of understanding molecular mechanisms of key biological and pathological processes and their physical and chemical underpinnings. We seek individuals who have demonstrated a strong record of independent accomplishments and will interact productively with colleagues within the Department and across the Penn Medicine and University of Pennsylvania campus.
