The Center for Materials for Information Technology (MINT) at the University of Alabama invites applications for one faculty position with a specialization of the fields of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials.  

Applicants should have a commitment to interdisciplinary research in magnetic materials and magnetic devices. A PhD degree in physics, chemistry, materials science, metallurgy, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, applied mathematics or a closely related discipline is required.  Successful candidates will be appointed to a tenure-track position of assistant or associate professor in one of the participating departments and will be expected to teach and perform the duties of a faculty member in the department.  Expertise is especially desired in the field of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials or closely related emerging areas, with preferred emphasis on nano/atomic scale materials design, fabrication and characterization
