Assistant Professor of Chemistry
McKendree University seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Chemistry to begin Fall 2019 at its Lebanon, Illinois campus.

The position requires a Ph.D. and prior college-level teaching experience. Candidates should have a background relevant to teaching organic chemistry. The ability to teach biochemistry courses is strongly desired, but not required.
The regular teaching load is 12 hours per semester. Teaching responsibilities will include courses in general and organic chemistry, and their associated laboratories, and may include upper-level chemistry courses related to the candidate’s area of expertise. In addition, faculty participate in student advising and engage in ongoing research with undergraduates.
McKendree, Illinois’ oldest college, is a selective comprehensive university with a liberal arts tradition located approximately 25 minutes from downtown St. Louis, Missouri. Salary and fringe benefits are competitive.
