The Department of Physics at Emory University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in experimental biophysics, with the appointment starting in September 2019. We welcome applications from outstanding candidates in all areas of experimental biophysics. Applicants whose research complements and bridges the existing strengths in experimental biophysics in the Department are particularly encouraged to apply.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in physics, biophysics, or a closely related field, postdoctoral experience, and a proven track record of research. The successful candidate is expected to establish an independent, internationally recognized, and externally funded research program, and demonstrate excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The candidate will benefit from a vibrant, interdisciplinary research environment that encompasses the Emory College of Arts and Sciences, School of Medicine and School of Public Health, as well as the Georgia Institute of Technology, and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
