The Department of Chemistry at Idaho State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2019. The candidate should possess a Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry or Biochemistry. The successful candidate will have primary teaching responsibility in biochemistry and secondary teaching responsibility in general chemistry and/or inorganic chemistry courses. A research program involving undergraduate and masters students and pursuit of external funding is required. Teaching experience at a university level or postdoctoral experience is a plus. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. The position includes a startup package and competitive benefits.
At Idaho State University, formal faculty workload is 60% teaching, 20% service and 20% research. For this position, the teaching responsibilities will include biochemistry and general chemistry and/or inorganic chemistry courses, including laboratory courses.
Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry or Biochemistry.
Teaching experience at a university level and/or postdoctoral experience.
