Assistant Professor of Chemistry
The Dietrich School at the University of Pittsburgh seeks to hire 2 tenure-track Assistant Professors in Mathematical and Computational Life Sciences to begin in the fall term of 2019. Successful candidates will be matched with the best fit among the Departments of Mathematics, Biology, Neuroscience, Physics, and Chemistry. We seek outstanding scientists who will collaborate with members of our large neuroscience, biology, biophysics, and biochemistry communities. We seek researchers in: (1) Mathematical and Computational Neuroscience including circuits, synapses and channels; (2) Mathematics and Theory of Biological Processes including ecology, evolution, cellular processes, and genetics. Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. and will be expected to establish an extramurally funded research program, train graduate students, and actively participate in undergraduate education.
