Washburn University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in Biochemistry. This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure track position beginning August 2019. The selected candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to students from diverse backgrounds and a dedication to the development of inclusive pedagogies that support equity and student success. - Ph.D. or ABD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
- Experience teaching at the undergraduate level.
- Experience mentoring undergraduate research student(s).
- Teaching general chemistry and biochemistry lectures and labs.
- Mentoring undergraduate research student(s).
- Directing a research program in biochemistry.
- Contributing through departmental, university, professional, and/or community service.
