Faculty Position in Environmental Process Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Wisconsin- Madison is searching for a faculty member with expertise in Environmental Process Engineering to complement faculty in Civil and Environmental Engineering (https://www.engr.wisc.edu/department/civil-environmental-engineering/). Desired areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, hybrid electrochemical and microbial pathways for water or wastewater treatment and/or resource recovery, desalination and membrane technologies for potable water production, and novel processes for chemical production or resource recovery. Candidates with expertise in other areas of environmental engineering also will be considered. This is a full-time tenure-track position and is open at the Assistant Professor rank.

Applicants are expected to develop innovative and internationally recognized research programs, contribute to scholarly work in Civil and Environmental Engineering, undertake instruction in undergraduate and graduate classes, and engage in professional service. The successful candidate is expected to develop interactions with other faculty on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus including those within the College of Engineering and other colleges. Candidates should have earned a doctorate degree in civil engineering or a closely related field by the beginning of employment. Post-doctoral experience, professional experience, and a professional engineering license are desirable, but not required.
