Faculty Positions in advanced material
The Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at the American University of Beirut invites applications for a faculty position in biochemical engineering at the rank of assistant or associate Professor.
Candidates will have an earned doctorate in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment. The new faculty member is expected to teach Engineering Materials and Corrosion at the undergraduate level and design new courses for the MS and ME in Chemical Engineering. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an extramurally funded research program in their area of interest, specifically with interest in innovative materials. A strong interest in developing collaborative research with others in the Department, as well as within the university overall is vital. Advising and mentoring undergraduate students and mentoring graduate students are essential. Professional and public service is also expected. This position will require the ability to work in a collegial manner with a diverse faculty, staff and student body
