Opportunity The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Kent State University's Kent Campus seeks to fill one tenure-track or tenured faculty position in Chemistry and Biochemistry. Exceptional candidates from all areas of chemistry and biochemistry are encouraged to apply. A wide range of expertise will be considered but the primary areas of interest include biophysical, experimental physical chemistry, biomaterials chemistry and protein and nucleic acid biochemistry. Preference will be given to candidates whose research can integrate into the newly formed Brain Health Research Institute or Advanced Materials and Liquid Crystal Institute at Kent State University. The successful applicant is expected to establish a highly productive extramurally funded research program, engage in collaborative research, supervise doctoral students and exhibit a commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching.

Qualifications: A Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry or a related field along with post-doctoral experience. Candidates at the Associate and Full Professor level with a history of sustained extramural funding will also be considered. Salary and startup funds are competitive and commensurate with academic qualifications and prior experience.
