Instructor - Organic and General Chemistry

The MIT Department of Chemistry seeks an instructor to teach organic and general chemistry for the 2019-20 academic year. Responsibilities will include teaching a combination of undergraduate organic and general chemistry classes in collaboration with MIT faculty. Depending upon the qualifications of the applicant, some teaching of laboratory classes could also be considered.

Requirements: a Ph.D. in chemistry, demonstrated excellence in teaching, outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment to undergraduate education. Applicants with Ph.D.s and an interest in pursuing a career in undergraduate education are especially welcome.

The ideal start is no later than August 14, 2019. The appointment is for one year and renewable for a second year if mutually agreed upon.
