For the Weylchem Group Customer and Toll Manufacturing (CM&T) business in the Americas, this position is responsible for; relationship building; execution of business initiatives; contract management; development and implementation of the Sales and Marketing strategy, evaluation of technical and economic feasibility of enquiries for new products and processes.  The market segments for customer account responsibilities are Agrochemicals and Pharma. For NBD it is all markets   Key activities include:

  • Manage existing business at all customers
  • Maintain relationships on multiple levels at all accounts
  • Project and Product Management
  • Identify and secure new CM&T business opportunities for WC-US
  • Evaluate new enquiries for technical and economic feasibility for WC-US or other members of the Weylchem global group


  • Promote capabilities of Weylchem US and affiliates
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities through market prospecting, networking, customer visits
  • Visit and host meetings/presentations with customers and potential customers to promote the development of profitable business, including coordinating internal resources as needed
  • Attend outside industry meetings/functions, conferences and exhibitions.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies in order to achieve quarterly and annual volume, revenue and gross margin objectives for the defined territory, region
  • Pursue new business opportunities and manage individual projects, coordinating efforts from various support functions.  Ensure timely and accurate feedback to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Analyze competitive market environments for strengths and weaknesses and maintain/increase customer and market share
  • Develop existing and new accounts through appropriate proposals which optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction
  • Communicate and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships
  • Prepare and negotiate contracts, including pricing and terms, for new and existing customers and services
  • Prepare regular reports for management outlining major activities related to business development, pricing, problem areas, CDAs, contracts.  Provide future outlook for the business in the territory/region
  • Evaluate new business opportunities for technical and economic feasibility for WC-US
  • Formulate and provide unique value propositions for new business opportunities
  • Drive new product placement and innovation for WC-US
  • Support Sales and Marketing in sales efforts at strategic accounts
  • Maintain/update all information in the Business Development/ Sales/Marketing databases for the customer base and relates projects
  • Support and comply with the various ISO and safety program of the WeylChem Group


Minimum 5 years sales-management experience in an Agro, Pharma, or related industry.  Experience in New Business Development at a technical level.


Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry or related field


  • Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels
  • Ability to manage projects
  • Previously established contacts and relationships with customers within the relevant industries (desirable and preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High energy and sense of urgency
  • Deep and broad knowledge of all sales and marketing disciplines
  • Technical knowledge of chemical processes used in CM&T and in WC-US markets
  • Professional computer and time management skills
  • Familiarity with CRM systems
  • Self-starter, with desire to grow into positions of further responsibility
