The Beyzavi Group in the Department of Chemistry/Biochemistry in the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas is accepting applications for a highly motivated and hard-working Postdoctoral Fellow to study Porous Crystalline Materials in particular Metal-Organic Framework (MOFs) and Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs) as well as Nanoparticles (NPs). The project will involve collaborative work and the learning of new ultidisciplinary techniques. One of the main focuses of Beyzavi Group is the development of unique catalytic systems to be incorporated into nanomaterials, e.g. MOFs, COFs and NPs. This position involves organic synthesis of ligands, preparation and characterizing of MOFs and COFs, and testing their properties, catalytic activities and reporting results to the PI Beyzavi. This position requires mentoring of junior researchers, manuscript and patent preparation and submission of proposals for further work. This initial appointment will be for one year, with expectation for renewal. For more information, visit: https://beyzavigroup.uark.edu/
