The Department of Chemistry at Vassar College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position to teach introductory chemistry beginning fall semester 2019.

 

Candidates for this position should have a PhD in chemistry or a related chemical field and a commitment to undergraduate education. The successful candidate should have experience in chemistry research and teaching, and the teaching load will be expected to include Vassar's introductory chemistry course, Chemical Principles, and the associated laboratory. Opportunities to conduct research with undergraduate students may be available.

 

Qualifications

 

Candidates should submit a letter of application, a C.V., a statement of teaching experience and philosophy, a concise statement on diversity and inclusive pedagogy, graduate school transcript (an unofficial copy is acceptable for initial application), and two letters of recommendation.
