Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry
The Chemistry Department at Drake University invites applications for visiting assistant professor of biochemistry, one year appointment beginning August 2019 with possibility of second year renewal. Teaching assignments will include four courses in the fall semester and three in the spring semester. A Ph.D. or advanced ABD in biochemistry or related field is required. Candidates are expected to teach general chemistry and lower and upper division courses in biochemistry. Drake University has an ACS-certified chemistry major, a biochemistry/molecular biology major, and a biophysics concentration. A complete application must include a letter of interest, a curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching philosophy, three letters of recommendation, and the names and contact information for at least two additional references.
