Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Plan and manufacture multi-step organic syntheses intermediates and products; maintain thorough documentation of experimental procedures and results through manufacturing batch records
  • Independently prioritize own work assignments, and consistently demonstrate the ability to perform assigned tasks in manufacturing setting
  • Update manufacturing SOPs as required through process validation and design change procedures
  • Maintain a high level of productivity in the laboratory setting
  • Demonstrate ability to resolve the manufacturing issues through effective problem solving
  • Maintain a safe, pleasant and efficient work environment.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • MS/PhD in Organic Chemistry with minimum 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in industrial setting OR
  • BS in Organic Chemistry with minimum 10 years of relevant experience in industrial setting
  • Strong Laboratory bench skills including synthesis, purification and analysis of organic compounds using HPLC (UV and MS detection), NMR, IR, GC, TLC and elemental analysis.
  • Strong background in theory and practice of synthetic organic chemistry, modern analytical techniques, and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience in cGMP Environment
  • Experience with Process Validation, non-conformance investigation
  • Proven experience with performing organic reactions and formulations under inert/dry atmosphere, moisture sensitive chemicals and glove box environment
  • Demonstrated excellence in clear cross-functional collaboration and communication in team settings
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a high paced manufacturing team environment to meet on time product delivery deadlines
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Experience with handling and synthesizing non-radioactive isotopically labelled 13C, 15N, 18O, D compounds is plus
  • Ability to demonstrate Cost-control management mindset
  • Proven track to lead other associates

Experience:

  • Laboratory and Chemical Manufacturing: 3-7 years (Required)

Education:

  • MS/PhD  in Organic Chemistry (preferred)
