Job Overview:

The Chemical and Biological Engineering Department at Drexel University invites applications for a teaching faculty appointment at the assistant, associate, or full professor level in the areas of transport phenomena, unit operations, process design, and statistics.  We seek to hire an individual who could handle other instructional areas within the chemical engineering curriculum as needs arise.

Qualifications:

Applicants should have a BS and Graduate degree in chemical engineering, industrial experience or teaching experience, or both, a familiarity with the structure of a university setting such as Drexel University, superior communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff, and a strong desire to educate undergraduate students.

Applicants with industrial experience in chemical or biological processes or with undergraduate teaching experience and excellent teaching ratings, or both, are preferred.

Developing and teaching assigned courses effectively, including both theoretical and practical aspects, participating in departmental curriculum efforts, including development and assessment activities, and serving on the undergraduate curriculum committee.
