The Department of Chemistry at the Brown University seeks applications for two Visiting Lecturer in Chemistry. These are one-year position to begin in July or August 2019. We seek applicants with a demonstrated effective teaching experience.
Duties and responsibilities include teaching introductory chemistry and organic chemistry lecture, lab, problem sessions and/or discussion groups to undergraduate students. Other lecture assignments are possible based on the applicant’s background.
Appointment at the rank of Visiting Lecturer at Brown University requires a Ph. D. in Chemistry, Chemistry Education, Biochemistry or related field. Previous teaching experience at the university level is highly desirable. Applicants are expected to have good communication skills and a commitment to quality undergraduate education.
