The Department of Chemistry at the George Washington University invites applications for a full-time one -year non-tenure accruing Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor of Chemistry beginning as early as Fall 2019, subject to renewal. The successful candidate is expected to teach two lecture sections of Fundamentals in Chemistry, one lecture section of General Chemistry with four discussion sections and hold weekly office hours. Fundamentals of Chemistry is a new course offering that serves students needing additional preparation prior to enrolling in General Chemistry.

This position presents a great opportunity for those individuals who are seeking to gain teaching experience in a large educational institution, as well as for others who might find desirable to spend an academic year within easy reach of many scientific societies (i.e. AAAS, ACS, NAS, etc.) located in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area.       

Basic Qualifications: Applicants must have a Ph.D. or Doctoral degree in Chemistry or a related field by the date of appointment.
