The Chemistry Laboratory Manager is responsible for preparing Chemistry teaching labs which includes the preparation of solutions, student supplies, safety and waste preparation, and performing dry runs of new laboratory procedures. The candidate is responsible for maintaining an accurate supply inventory and budget. Additional responsibilities include performing safety projects pertaining to the laboratories and hazardous waste management, as well as teaching two chemistry lab courses per year.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related field
- Willingness to perform a variety of tasks
- Good organizational skills
- Computer skills, including use of Excel
- Ability to work/teach labs during the afternoon lab session between 1:00 and 4:00
