Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS), a private institution with a 125-year tradition located in Albany, NY, is seeking applications for a non-tenure track teaching faculty position (rank commensurate with experience) in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, which serves BS, MS, and Pharm.D programs. We seek candidates with expertise in bioanalytical sciences and specialization in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, drug design, -omics technologies, and/or pharmacokinetics.
Successful candidates will develop and teach courses that contribute to our Center for Biopharmaceutical Education and Training (CBET) and Bioanalytics track within the BS program. While not a primary focus of the position, opportunities to collaborate with existing faculty research programs exist. A commitment to excellence in teaching and student development is essential, as are excellent communication (both verbal/written) and interpersonal skills. Participation in the service missions of the College is also expected. ACPHS offers a comprehensive benefits package and competitive salary. Applications consisting of a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, statement of teaching philosophy, and contact information of three references should submitted at https://employment.acphs.edu.
ACPHS is an equal opportunity employer.
Qualified applicants should have a Ph.D. or other terminal degree in one of the listed areas of expertise and familiarity with sample preparation, chromatography, mass spectrometry, and QA/QC. Prior academic experience and/or experience in downstream processing related to the pharmaceutical industry. Experience in GMP/GLP would be a plus.
