Job Details
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Oberlin College invites applications for a full-time non-continuing faculty position in the College of Arts and Sciences. Appointment to this position will be for a term of one-semester, beginning Fall 2019, and will carry the rank of Instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor.
The incumbent will teach Biochemistry laboratory and either additional labs (general or organic chemistry) or general chemistry lecture depending on their background.
The qualifications required for appointment as an Instructor include a MS degree (or equivalent graduate training) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field. The qualifications required for appointment as an Assistant Professor include a Ph.D degree (in hand or expected by first semester of academic year Fall 2019). Candidates must demonstrate interest and potential excellence in undergraduate teaching. Successful teaching experience at the college level is desirable.
