Job Details

The Department of Chemistry at The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a General Chemistry Teaching Laboratory Coordinator. Job responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and teaching general chemistry laboratory courses, including formal writing instruction, training and coordinating graduate teaching assistants, and implementing and enforcing laboratory safety policies.  The Coordinator is also expected to work with tenured/tenure-track faculty members to continually improve the undergraduate general chemistry curriculum, to improve existing and to develop new experiments, and to acquire new instrumentation.  We are interested in candidates who will contribute to diversity and equal opportunity in higher education through their teaching and service.
