Job Details
Chemist wanted for a non-laboratory position to work in the Washington, D.C. office of an international law firm. This individual will work closely with our attorneys and other staff scientists to help clients determine the regulatory status of their products in accordance with applicable food, drug, and medical device regulations. This individual also will work as a team with our attorneys to file petitions with regulatory agencies in the United States (FDA/EPA) and their sister agencies throughout the world. This is not an intellectual property position.
The ideal candidate will be able to interpret complex analytical data and should have a strong proficiency in mathematics. Expertise in any area of non-theoretical chemistry will be considered, though familiarity with polymer chemistry and 5+ years of experience is highly desired. A background in chemicals or the packaging industry, and experience with FDA regulations, would be a plus. Must be able to multi-task, work effectively with others, and write clearly. Graduate Degree in Chemistry is required; Ph.D. preferred but not required.
