The Cancer Chemical Biology Ph.D. Program at Moffitt Cancer Center is accepting new graduate students. H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute is a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and has the state-of-the art research facilities. The Cancer Chemical Biology Ph.D. is designed to prepare young scientists to meet the future challenges of cancer chemical biology research. This program is under the umbrella Cancer Biology Ph.D. Programs at Moffitt Cancer Center through the collaboration with the University of South Florida.
The Program utilizes an interdisciplinary curriculum that includes training in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Proteomics, Structural Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology and fundamental Cancer Biology. Students will have the opportunity to interact with premier scientists in these fields and select them for Ph.D. mentoring. During the Ph.D. training, students will participate in top-notch research to (1) identify, validate and characterize new cancer targets; (2) design and synthesize new chemical probes to modulate key signaling pathways; and/or (3) design and develop new anti-cancer drug candidates. Our graduates will be positioned to lead the future chemical biology research for the prevention, treatment, and cure of various diseases including cancer.
All students will receive a highly competitive stipend, in addition to full tuition and health insurance.
