Applications are invited for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level in the Department of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Stony Brook University. A PhD in Chemical Engineering or closely related field is required with a minimum of two years of postdoctoral experience and a demonstrated record of publications.

Candidates with demonstrated excellence in teaching and research with areas of expertise in biomedical and tissue engineering, nanotechnology, sustainability, energy research, computational modeling, and other strategic areas that complement ongoing research in the Department and in the Engineering-driven Medicine research thrust at Stony Brook University will be preferred.

In addition to pursuing excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching in the Chemical Engineering Program, the candidate should demonstrate the ability to initiate both independent and collaborative research. This position will also be responsible to participate in Departmental and University level committees.
