POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP AT FDA

The Laboratory of Bacterial Polysaccharides has an opening for a postdoctoral fellow. The Laboratory of Bacterial Polysaccharides is a part of the Division of Bacterial, Parasitic, and Allergic Products at the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research on the campus of Food and Drug Administration in Silver Spring, MD. The goal of the Laboratory is to create and evaluate technology that advance the manufacturing process and improve the regulation of glycoconjugate vaccines

Staff fellowship

The laboratory investigates the mechanism of capsular polysaccharide assembly in gram negative pathogenic bacteria. This postdoctoral position will focus on characterizing reactions catalyzed by membrane associated enzymes involved in the initiation of polysialic acid synthesis. Thus, candidates with a Ph.D. in biochemistry, chemical biology, or related field and experience in enzymology are encouraged to apply.
