Job Details
Tenure track (academic 9-month) position at the Assistant Professor level (60% research, 40% instruction) specializing in Food Chemistry. Research areas include, but are not limited to: 1) small or large molecule chemistry; 2) chemical and biological properties of molecules relevant to food; 3) development and elucidation of novel, chemical and biochemical phenomena related to the quality, safety or sustainability of food materials. The position includes teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and serving as advisor to graduate and undergraduate students.
Earned doctorate in Food Science or aligned fields (e.g. Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry). Post-doctoral experience expected.
