The Department of Chemistry at the University at Buffalo invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in chemistry of sustainability as it relates to energy and the environment, at the level of Assistant Professor. Candidates pursuing fundamental experimental research to harness the power of synthesis and/or measurement to address global challenges in sustainability are particularly encouraged to apply.

An assistant professor is expected to develop a vigorous and funded research program, to be committed to teaching a diverse student body at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to serve the Department, university, and discipline.


The successful candidate will contribute to the growing focus on sustainability in the Department and university, and will complement existing strengths in the Department involving molecular and materials synthesis, measurement and analysis, environmental chemistry, and the basic science of energy storage and conversion.
