The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at UT Arlington seeks applications to fill a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning Fall 2020; however, more senior candidates with exceptional track records will also be considered. Candidates must have a PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, or a closely related area and significant post-doctoral experience. Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate a commitment to diversity and equity in education through their scholarship, teaching, and service. We are deeply committed to increasing diversity and especially encourage applications from women and minority scholars.


Applicants must initiate and maintain an externally funded research program and teach effectively in the graduate and undergraduate organic chemistry or biochemistry curriculum. All areas of experimental organic chemistry will be considered, but those research programs proposing to use bioorganic or chemical biology approaches to address problems related to health and the human condition are preferred.
